Hypocritical GOP?

So I was reading The Batavian, as I often do, and I came across this article.

Erie County GOP chairman attacks possible Democratic candidate for NY-26

Now, as a registered republican, it's hard for me to write this article. But I went through the selection process to replace Chris Lee. I was the last to be interviewed. I wonder if I was truly considered. Jane Corwin was selected. And it seems as if the interview process was a formality. Corwin was selected because of her family's cash. I understand that. But at the same time, the country is ready for new blood with normal man's outlook.

But that's not what this is about.

In the article this quote is found from Erie Country Chairman Nick Langworthy:

"This is a charade, it's a machination, they've known from the beginning that she's their candidate if she wants to run, but they're using this quirk in the law allowing her to take double the amount of special interest money that she normally would."

This is amazing to me that he can say this. Corwin was the front runner for the GOP form the beginning. My assemblyman that could have seriously challenged her and expressed interest in the position, mysteriously removed his name from consideration. There were other great choices for the nomination (not me, I don't hold a candle to most of them when it comes to political experience).

But there is something to his quote that somewhat makes it valid. Apparently because the dems waited, their candidate can be given up to $5000 from each person who wants to donate.
